The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at xxxx Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

This lucky guy is Othello, a very handsome short-haired Tuxedo kitten with golden eyes. Othello and two siblings were rescued out of a very scary, filthy situation where they're lucky someone found them at all. Othello isn't skittish or untrusting, however, and really enjoys our company! It seemed like he had nothing off of which to base any fear, because he likely never had socialization while being neglected. Othello has adjusted well to a healthy diet and absolutely loves real toys!! We believe he would do just fine as an only pet or around other cats. We do not recommend him in a home with dogs. He needs a home where he can relax and feel safe, but receive plenty of attention! Despite a rocky start to life, this guy wants to be loved! Please stop in or contact us to meet Othello!

Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.).
