Throughout this summer xxxx, the Humane Society of West Alabama wants to increase my chances at finding my forever home by reducing my adoption fee! Email my rescue group or stop in to meet me!
The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at xxxx Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

This is sweet little man is Pauly , a very cute young male Orange Tabby kitten, approximately 8 weeks old (7/7/12). His orange color is a light peachy haze, with a cute pink nose and beautiful bright yellow eyes! Pauly is playful, cuddly and cute as a button! He's small and lively, so please consider that when thinking of pairing him with a dominant or older cat with low tolerance to anything stressful - a playful kitten will be stressful! Pauly has not been around children, but he is small and fragile, so he is not a playmate for small children who might have difficulty not seeing him as a toy. He needs to be handled gently. Pauly has never been around dogs, so he likely doesn't know what to think about them yet. We do know he would need to be isolated from dogs until he is bigger and can defend himself if the need arises. Pauly does like to steal the limelight from other kittens, so he will either steal all the toys to gain your attention or just tug on your shoelaces to make you look down. . .or trip and become eye level with him! We just know he's going to be someone's perfect companion! Who doesn't need such a cute little buddy attached at the hip? Negative for FIV and FeLK and current on first set of kitten vaccinations. The final set (consisting of Rabies and Feline Leukemia boosters) is due three weeks from the date of the previous set.
Since Pauly is too young to be neutered, an additional $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption to reinforce state law for all shelter/rescue animals to be fixed either before or after adoption - if they're adopted from a shelter or rescue, adopters are are required by law to have the animal fixed (at or before age 6 months). The spay/neuter deposit is refunded later upon delivery of proof (a certificate or vet records) that the kitten has been fixed. We must receive proof of the surgery by age 6 months, no exceptions. Pediatric spaying/neutering is an option to discuss with your vet around 4 months of age.
Our adoption fee is temporarily reduced to only $50, a fee to help defray a fraction of vet costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care, and are not available for adoption until they are cleared by one of our trusted local veterinarians.
