Throughout this summer xxxx, the Humane Society of West Alabama wants to increase my chances at finding my forever home by reducing my adoption fee! Email my rescue group or stop in to meet me!
The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at xxxx Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

This handsome gray guy is Grayson, a very cute male Russian Blue kitten. He is solid blue-gray, and still has baby blue eyes that look to be turning either sunny yellow or a pretty chartreuse green. He's approximately 3-4 months old, likely in-between. Grayson is a very sweet, playful and precocious fellow looking for a new family! He is a kitten and will need extra time, so a living situation where he would be left alone most of the day is not an option for him. We'd prefer a home without dogs for him, since he is not a fan of them. He might do okay with a small dog who would pretty much ignore him. This sweet little man needs a home - and fast, or at least a temporary foster home! Call or email us for more info about Grayson!

Since Grayson is too young to be neutered, an additional $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption to reinforce state law for all shelter animals to be fixed before or after adoption. State law requires all shelter/rescue animals to be spayed/neutered by age of maturity (app. 6 months of age). The adopter would be responsible to have the surgery done for the adopted pet no later than age 6 months. The spay/neuter deposit is refunded later upon delivery of proof (a certificate or vet records) that the kitten has been fixed. Pediatric spaying/neutering is an option to discuss with your vet around 4 months of age.
Our adoption fee is temporarily reduced to only $50, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend for any applicants (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc). We cannot accept applications from minors (under 19 or a legal dependent of your parents). We do not hold/reserve animals or adopt on a first come, first serve basis.
