The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at xxxx Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

This beautiful young lady is Jenny, aka Jennifer Lopez, approximately 1 1/2 years old (will be 1 year, 6 mos. around 9/30). Our gorgeous JLo is a female gray and white shorthair and is slightly larger than medium-size, but not overweight or very large, so whether she's medium-sized or large is debatable. It's a unanimous opinion that she's very charming! Jenny is a very sweet, low-energy girl. She's calm and gentle, and should do well around children who can gently handle her. We aren't sure how well she'd do around dogs.
Jenny was rescued in a tornado-damaged area of Tuscaloosa back on April 27th, xxxx, and was bottle-fed by a long-time volunteer who's kept her for a very long time and has tried but can't give her a forever home. She's always been handled by people and knows she's meant to be a part of a family like that. Jenny will bond well with a new family. Contact us or visit our cat adoption center to meet Jenny!

Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors (19 and under, in the state of Alabama). Read up on our adoption process .
