This is Jalston, a young, a one year old male blue heeler. Jalston was given up by his previous family and surrendered to the local metro animal shelter. Although we are unsure of the circumstances surrounding his surrender, we speculate it was due, all or in part to, his very shy personality. It will take time to bond and earn Jalston's trust. We see this a lot with dogs who didn't get the proper socialization as a young puppy. Jalston is heartworm neg, neutered, and up to date om vaccinations. Jalston is a very sweet boy who gets along well with the other dogs and really just wants to make friends with everyone. He isnt leash trained and is very scared of a leash - we are working on that. He is very shy around new people but really wants to make friends with all humans and dogs he meets. Jalston will need a very patient owner who will give him time.
